This is an introductory class providing a basic understanding of fertilizers. The class focuses on nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, the three primary nutrients, identifying where they come from come, what function they have in plants and why farmers use them. Differences between organic and inorganic nutrient sources are discussed, including the challenges of their use.
