Through the Sustainable Fertilizer Academy, IFA provides a unique e-learning experience and network for fertilizer industry professionals to learn about sustainability – from sourcing to production to use of fertilizers on the farm. 


Sustainability delivers the most value when it is in the mainstream of a business. That is why our program is designed to meet the needs of employees across a company (sustainability, operations, finance, sales, marketing, communication, engineering, agronomy and so on). 

To register, please click on the "sign-up" button on the top right hand corner and fill out the registration form. An invoice will then be sent and once payment is received, access to class content will be provided.

Classes are between 20-30 minutes long to cover a maximum number of topics most efficiently. They have been video recorded to allow students around the world to take them in their own time zone, without travelling, and at their own pace. All classes have English and Spanish subtitles

On achieving a passing grade in an online exam, students will receive either an Expert (Level 1) or Leader (Level 2) certificate from IFA.

Duration and expected time to complete studies

Regarding the program's duration, Level 1 comprises 9 hours of class content, while Level 2 extends to 15 hours. 


At the Sustainable Fertilizer Academy, we set an ideal goal for our students to complete each Level within a 3-month timeframe. Nonetheless, we recognize the complexities of balancing work and personal commitments, which may lead to potential delays in their studies.


Should any student find themselves needing additional time to complete their studies, we are more than willing to accommodate their request and take note of it until they successfully finish the program.
