IFA’s Sustainable Fertilizer Academy partners with the Federal University of Mato Grosso and Brazilian government agencies to deliver sustainability training to the Brazilian agriculture community.

In Brazil, the SFA collaborates with the Federal University of Mato Grosso and government agencies to embed sustainability training into university curricula. The program rapidly expanded from 300 to over 1,600 students, equipping future agronomists with essential sustainability knowledge.

In partnership with the Federal University of Mato Grosso and Brazilian government agencies, the SFA launched a large-scale sustainability education initiative aimed at the agricultural community of Brazil. Initially welcoming 300 students, the program quickly expanded due to high demand, reaching over 1,600 students in its second phase. We are now about to launch our fourth and final wave, which will conclude at the end of 2025, marking the participation of a total of 1,600 students from across the Brazilian agricultural community in the SFA’s platform and classes. Through a unique branch on the Academy’s online platform, specific SFA courses have been carefully selected to meet the needs of different target groups, including university students, agronomy professionals, and government partners. For students, these classes are formally integrated into their academic curriculum and count toward graduation credits, ensuring that future agronomists and sustainability leaders are equipped with essential knowledge on responsible fertilizer use, emissions reduction, and sustainable soil management.
