The Sustainable Fertilizer Academy (SFA) has significantly expanded its impact in China by offering live-streamed classes in Mandarin, helping to advance knowledge in sustainable agriculture.

In partnership with Sino-Agri and its live-streaming platform, SFA classes have reached over 1.32 million agronomists across the country. Delivered in Mandarin, these sessions have made expert knowledge accessible at scale—especially in remote and underserved areas.

Now in its third consecutive year, this collaboration stands as a flagship example of how digital education can be effectively scaled to support sustainable farming practices. The classes cover key topics such as nutrient use efficiency, fertilizer quality, and emissions reduction, helping to build capacity across China’s agricultural sector.

Building on this success, the SFA is now exploring new partnerships with other Chinese companies and agricultural associations to broaden the scope of content delivery, including targeted outreach to university students across the country. This next phase includes experimenting with diverse educational formats designed to meet the evolving needs of China’s agronomists and sustainability practitioners.
